1st quarter:
DOCUMENTARY PORTRAITS – THE CLOTHES OF A LIFE
Based on a photographic project by Pierre Larose, who worked with senior CAV students (in collaboration with Acap-Pôle Régional Image), each student envisioned an accumulation of clothes and objects constituting their self-portrait. Three students agreed to pose for Pierre Larose at the peak of their accumulation: during the photo shoot on October 19, 2022, the rest of the class created three films at the intersection of portrait and behind-the-scenes. Edited in November-December, they are grouped under the title ‘The Clothes of a Life.’
The photos, along with those of three other voluntary senior CAV students, will be exhibited at the Porte B Gallery (Paris) fromOctober 7 to November 12, 2023, and are featured in the art book ‘Dressed Memory’ documenting Pierre Larose’sproject.
2nd-3rd quarters:
FICTION SHORT FILMS – THE CORRIDOR IN CINEMA
The second annual film project in senior year CAV involves the creation of one or more fiction short films. From January to May 2023, students wrote, filmed, and edited two films on the theme of the corridor in cinema: In what way is the corridor, a simple passage, a recurring and rich motif in cinematographic fiction and in our imagination? How can the journey (both spatial and personal) of a character be portrayed in this setting?
