Alvin Chris and Dr. Chon in concert at JU!

On Friday, March 24, 2023, in the beautiful Sarah Louise Léon hall of Jules Uhry High School in Creil, we had the opportunity to organize two concerts featuring the rappers Alvin Chris and Doctor Chon. Several weeks prior, the first-year students of the micro-high school actively participated in the organization, collaborating with the contemporary music stage, La Lune des Pirates in Amiens.

The primary objective was to enrich our musical culture and enable us to implement a motivating and unique project.

First, we began by selecting our two artists from among more than 10 others. Their authenticity immediately captivated us. Subsequently, two groups of students were formed: the communication team and the technical team. The communication team took charge of organizing the artists’ interview and inviting classes via email, including artist presentations. Meanwhile, the technical team handled organizing the roadmap for the D-day and the material requirements for the artists’ visit to our premises, both for the technical setup of the stage and the arrangement of the backstage.

On D-day, just hours before the concerts, the communication team students were able to interview the two artists, while the technical team assisted in setting up the stage and backstage.

A rigorous effort was required to successfully carry out their on-stage performances before, during, and after the event. Some students were specifically responsible for the (fictional) ticketing at the entrance to count the number of entries. About ten classes were able to attend the concert. For many of them, it was their first concert. On behalf of La Lune des Pirates and the micro-high school, we hope you had a good time.
